悟空跳到河边，用金箍棒把河水搅得巨浪滔天
The monkey swirled the water with his iron bar. The water became rough. Waves crashed and churned.
那龙只好跳出来
The dragon leaped from the water.
悟空又和那龙打起来
The monkey attacked the dragon with his iron bar.
白龙招架不住，又钻回水中
But once more the dragon disappeared under the water.
悟空对着河叫板多时，白龙始终不肯出水迎战
Wukong yelled all kinds of insults. But the dragon would not come back up.
悟空别无他法，便飞往南海寻求观音帮助
Wukong shot into the air and flew south.
很快，悟空来到南海
Soon he came to Mount Potalaka in the South Sea.
观音听了悟空诉说原委
Wukong told Guanyin the whole thing.
观音反问悟空：“那白龙知道你们是去西天取经的吗？”
“Did you tell the dragon that you’re traveling with the Tang Monk?” asked Guanyin.
“不知道”，悟空说，“怎么？”
“No," said the monkey. "Why?"
“那白龙本是我被我点化，在那儿鹰愁涧等取经人的。”观音颔首说到
Guanyin sighed. "That dragon was waiting for you.
白龙因罪受罚，好在受我点化一心向善，原保唐僧取经，故而在此生等候
When I met him, he was being punished for setting fire to his father’s palace. I told him to help the Tang Monk reach the Western Paradise.
